With over 1B USD turnover, the Fashion & Footwear division is pursuing a rapid growth strategy in the Middle East with the expansion of iconic brands such as American Eagle, Express, Mothercare, Debenhams, Next, Arcadia brands (Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge etc), River Island, Claire's, Justice, Payless, Bhs, Peacocks, Elc etc To realise its highly ambitious and aggressive expansion plan, the company is currently looking for a proactive, commercially focused and profit driven Business Director - Fashion & Footwear. Based in Alshaya’s Head Offices in Kuwait, the candidate will have the exciting opportunity to develop a high-quality, on-trend fashion and footwear renowned brand throughout the region. Role Specifics: Strategic brand development & business planning P&L delivery - full accountability Very strong operations focus Maintaining & developing relationships with host brands Team development and leadership Property strategy development Strong management/supervision of visual merchandising and store operations The Person Very youthful and dynamic Charismatic Commercially astute and profit driven An influential, proactive and strong leader A proven track record of delivering success through teamwork An excellent negotiator Comfortable in managing complexity The Requirements 10-15 years gained in Fashion and Footwear including a minimum of 5 years in senior management positions Strong background in merchandising Directorship and development experience of large retail store chain (stores ranging from 700 to 1,200 sqm each) Working at a senior level in a renowned company, top global retail group or major multi franchise operation Preferably with some international experience The Package Competitive tax free package (Middle East), including bonus and executive benefits Strong potential for personal growth and multi-regional career progression |
